Tinsly ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit www.tinsly.co (the "Site") or engage our services.
We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

When you contact us, make an inquiry, or engage our services, we may collect:

Any information you choose to include in your message or project materials
We refer to this as "Submitted Information."
We do not currently sell products or process payments directly through the Site. In the future, we may offer merchandise or paid products. At that time, we will collect Order Information (such as billing address, shipping address, and payment details) and process payments securely through Stripe. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.
2.3. Combined Definition
"Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy means information about an identifiable individual and includes Device Information and Submitted Information (and, in the future, Order Information). It does not include business contact information used solely to contact you in your professional capacity, or anonymized/aggregated data that cannot identify you.
3. CONSENT
By using the Site or providing us with your personal information, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information as described in this Policy.
Express consent is obtained when you actively provide information (for example, by submitting an inquiry).
Implied consent may apply where the purpose is obvious and you voluntarily provide the information.
We will obtain fresh consent if we intend to use your personal information for a new purpose not described in this Policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
6. STORAGE AND CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER OF INFORMATION
Tinsly is based in Canada. However, some of our service providers (including Stripe, Google, and Meta) store and process data on servers located in the United States and other countries.
This means your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions outside of Canada, and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and government authorities in those jurisdictions under their applicable laws. By using the Site, you acknowledge this cross-border transfer. You may contact our Privacy Officer for more information about how your information is handled outside Canada.
7. BEHAVIORAL & TARGETED ADVERTISING
We use your information to show relevant ads through:

Google Ads
Third-party ad networks
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

8. DO NOT TRACK
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals due to limitations in industry-wide standardization.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Under BC PIPA and PIPEDA, you have the right to:
Access — Request access to the personal information we hold about you and information about how it has been used and disclosed.
Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
Deletion — Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal and business record-keeping requirements.
Withdraw Consent — Withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time (see Section 3).
Data Portability — Request a digital export of your information where applicable.

We will respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 30 days under PIPA, with possible extensions where permitted). We may require verification of your identity before fulfilling a request. We do not charge a fee for most requests; if a fee applies, we will notify you in advance.

11. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law:
Submitted Information (and Order Information, once paid products are offered) is kept for business records unless you request deletion.
Project files, submissions, and client communications are retained for one (1) year after service cancellation.
Regular contact information may be archived for historical business use.
When personal information is no longer required, we will securely destroy, erase, or anonymize it.
12. DATA SECURITY
We protect your personal information with security safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption, access controls, secure servers, and the use of reputable third-party processors (Stripe, Meta, Google) that maintain their own recognized security standards.
However, no method of online transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
In the event of a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate regulatory authorities as required by applicable law, and will keep records of breaches as required.
14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.
15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect operational changes, new legal or regulatory requirements, or service improvements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes may be communicated to you directly where appropriate.
